Duxford Air Museum is Europe's premier aviation museum - as well as having one of the finest collections of tanks, military vehicles and naval exhibits in the country. This famous heritage site began as an airfield in the First World War and also played a vital role in the Second World War, firstly as an RAF fighter station and later as an American fighter base.

Madingley War Cemetery is located about three miles west of Cambridge. The site, donated by the University of Cambridge, covers about 30.5 acres, and lies on the north slope of a hill with a fine view of the countryside, all the way to Ely Cathedral, some 14 miles to the north. It is framed by woods on the south and west sides. The 3,812 headstones at Madingley are arranged like spokes of a wheel radiating from the flagpole, with Stars of David for those of Jewish faith, and Latin crosses for all others.
